Port Macquarie is called 'Port' by locals, and is a gorgeous town on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. Where the river meets the sea, there is a newly finished boardwalk that will take you around the foreshore all the way from Town to Lighthouse Beach. The walk will take you along some of the best beaches in the world. You can watch dolphins and whales, or visit a rainforest cafe at Shelly Beach. There are other wonderful rainforests, mountain getaways and bushwalks only an hour inland.
